CEMETERY- THE WEALTHIEST PLACE
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

The graveyard is the wealthiest place in all of creation, beneath those rectangular pieces of soil lays countless unsung melodies and unwritten poems. The grass plots overflow with brilliant ideas that could have transformed entire communities, rehabilitated the lost and borne hope to the weary. Our ground wreck with unattained successes and unrealized dreams. Sometimes when you walk through a grave yard, what do you sensed, well……sometimes, I walk through grave yard and speculate how many unfulfilled promises and untapped dreams lie dormant under my feet, I ponder about the many lives that fell short of God’s intended purpose. Millions of men and women have died with their aspirations yet unrealized, their dreams now forever trapped beneath the turf. But one thing that keeps troubling my mind is that if I could mine the cemeteries in my neighborhood alone, I would be one of the richest men in the face of the earth.
……..will you add to the wealth of the graveyard? I wonder what you are carrying inside of you right now. You contain ideas and dreams of what you can be for God. Hidden inside our hearts, strapped tight to the starting blocks, is the class you are suppose to lead, locked within is the book you hope to write but hesitate for fear,…….it will remain unread, waiting in your dreams is the powerful ministry you were meant to pioneer but have never launched because you feel anxious about being a woman in a man’s world.
Too many in our families and communities die rich, with dreams clutched rightly to their stilled hearts. To many go to their grave with their potentials trapped inside, if we could harness the unused power from one graveyard alone, we can tap only the potential of the living so long as breath remains in our lung, untapped potential lies inside us, waiting to be realized,
……..The reason we are all still alive is that we are carrying something inside us that this generation needs.

Smoking is dangerous to Health...Avoid it
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

The saying keeps on going that “Smoking is dangerous to health” and that “Smokers are liable to die young”, but have we forgotten that this so called Cigarette and Tobacco that people smoke is still produced, what do we think these things are……Isn’t it wickedness? Why is it that something that is dangerous to health is still allowed to be manufactured.

Smoking has long been linked to an array of health problems, recent research shows that the harmful habit is worse than previously known. A new report from the U.S. surgeon general found that smoking causes diseases in almost every organ of the human body. The Surgeon General cites more than 1,600 scientific articles on the health effects of smoking, In addition to the well-known effects of smoking, such as lung, mouth and esophageal cancers, the new report found that smoking is conclusively linked to leukemia, cataracts and pneumonia as well as cancers of the pancreas, cervix and kidneys. Other complications linked to smoking in the report included diabetes complications, hip fractures and reproductive complications.
The U.S. Surgeon General also points that the toxins from cigarette smoke can go everywhere the blood flows. He quotes "I'm hoping this new information will help motivate people to quit smoking and convince young people not to start in the first place."
Tobacco-related diseases are some of the biggest killers in the world today and are cited as one of the biggest cause of premature death in industrial countries. In the United States some 500,000 deaths per year are attributed to smoking-related diseases

Even so, smoking of both tobacco and cannabis is said to be a social activity which serves as a reinforcement of social structures and is part of the cultural rituals of many and diverse social and ethnic groups. Many smokers begin smoking in social settings and the offering and sharing of a cigarette is often an important rite of initiation or simply a good excuse to start a conversation with strangers in many settings; in bars, night clubs, at work or on the street. Lighting a cigarette is often seen as an effective way of avoiding the appearance of idleness or mere loitering, But the BIG question is can’t some other thing be offered to someone apart from the all known Cigarette and Tobacco?

It really amazed me when some body would wants to offer another person something to smoke or drink (alcoholic) rather than giving him something to eat which I think is the priority, and these, taking a closer look it will prove to us that it is the young people that are committed to causing this problems to themselves.
So if the saying that “Health is Wealth” is true, then how can we be wealthy when our health is in a critical condition?
Please let us take precautions on this and live a fulfilled life…………..

POLITICAL VIOLENCE EVERYWHERE …...Is It Necessary?
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

In trying to evaluate the recent elections impact of political violence in the country, two things comes to mind. The first is the significance of this electoral contest and the manner in which greed, fear of losing and the corruptibility of the electors and the elected conspire to make politics the game of the vampires whose taste for blood is driven by money and luxuries of life.

Politically-motivated killings and other attacks have occurred in many other areas, some politicians have also used religion and ethnicity to galvanize political support or opposition, stirring up sentiments that could spark further communal violence.

The Nigerian government is doing far too little to prevent a wave of political violence during election period, and many politicians have taken advantage of rampant poverty and unemployment to recruit young men, who intimidate and even kill their opponents or opponents’ supporters,………Now the big question is why is our Youths being allowed to be used as political “THUGS”….!!! Why have we suddenly forgotten our main purpose of existence, we give ourselves to be used thereafter we are abandoned.

We see that most of the cases of political violence remain unresolved. Although the police have made some arrests, prosecutions are rare. Impunity is encouraging ruthless politicians to believe they can continue using violence to silence their opponents.

….. for us to maintain our credibility, Nigeria needs to prove it is willing and able to deal with human rights violations at home, including political violence.

Lend a Helping Hand
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

The world today is more prosperous than it ever has been, the technological advances we have seen in recent years have created encouraging new opportunities to improve economies and reduce hunger, but yet some people are still living from hand to mouth, until recently, poverty was understood largely in terms of income--or a lack of one. To be poor meant that one could not afford the cost of providing a proper diet or home, It is also about the denial of opportunities and choices that are widely regarded as essential to lead a long, healthy, creative life and to enjoy a decent standard of living, freedom, dignity, self-esteem and the respect of others.
Now the most important thing is for us to activate our potential and God given talent , set our minds towards lending a helping hand to these once that are starving from hunger……………They deserve to live….
